So this past Tuesday was our first Dr. appointment. David was a trooper and came along, but refrained from staying in the room during the examination (that's fine, I guess its weird to watch someone else "invaid" your territory!) She stuck like her whole arm up there and then felt from the top of my belly too at the same time- why did no one tell me this is how they feel the uterus? It kinda hurt! It was like a uterus sandwich!
Anyways, they went over my symptoms, went over the rules with me again about all the things I can't do, gathered more family history, etc. The most exciting part of this was getting clarification on the lunch meat issue. I thought it all had to be steaming hot, but as it turns out its just processed lunch meats (like bologna, sausages, etc) that have to be hot. SO I CAN EAT MY JIMMY JOHN'S TURKEY TOM SANDWICH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, minus the sprouts, but that's fine! I've already had 3 since Tuesday!!!! Yum!
They did say my uterus was measuring slightly larger than average, so I took advantage of that to play an April Fools joke on David the next day. I told him they called and said my bloodwork indicated more than one baby but that they weren't sure how many!!!! hahahaha! I made sure to tell him April Fools right away because I think he was about to have a stroke or something. Although twins do run in the family, so the joke might be on me later (but probably not.)
Anyways, I go back again on April 27th, and that is when we get to hear the baby's heratbeat! We can't wait!
