Sorry I've been a little MIA lately- this baby has me a little preoccupied! Who knew heartburn could be this bad, even from having a sip of water!!! And that foot lodged into my right rib constantly, well, lets just say I will think it is a much cuter foot once its out of my uterus!
But all in all I still feel great because these mommy hormones sure do make you happy. Just thinking about my little girl's birth being right around the corner is enough to make me get all teary! And on any given day if you can't find me its because I'm in the nursery folding and organizing little tiny clothes (again) or maybe just staring into the crib trying to picture our little Lola Jane sleeping there peacefully.
David has been excited as well, constantly talking to her and telling her to come out and play with him. He also has logged more than a few laps in the living room with the stroller. I think he is practicing his "cool dad" walk or something!
In other news...the ole' uterus is doing her job as I am dilated 1cm already! That doesn't necessarily mean much yet because I could stay that way for a while, but at least I feel like my body is making some progress so I am happy. Everyone tells you that by 9 months you are more than ready to evict your little tenant, and I must say they are all right! So hopefully she makes her big debut earlier rather than later.
In leiu of my normal monthly photo, I have attached a few from a photo shoot my cousin Tara did to showcase my belly! She is still going to spend some time working on them in photoshop to fix lighting, etc., but I attached a couple for a sneak peek! Yes, that's me in all my swollen splendid baby glory! Its crazy to compare to my month one photo, hopefully one day I will get that flat tummy back!
Can't wait to meet Lola! Hope you come into the hospital on a Friday/Saturday when I'm there!!! Best wishes to you all! Barb
ReplyDeleteLOL--I was just confused for a few minutes looking at that last picture because I thought you were wearing a floral top and I was wondering what had happened to your lower half. HAHAHA I have it all figured out now--lower half on left, upper half on right. Ah, your friend is not so bright sometimes....
